Lately, I have gotten into the unfortunate habit of procrastination. It is funny that I call it a habit, it is more like a psychological state. It is the fact that I used to live on stress and thrill, and right now I am unable to panic nor feel that emotion nor process that data, thus all I am left with is the anxiety of stress, yet not the benefit of it pushing me to get work done. It’s not that I fail and don’t meet deadlines per say, it’s just I can do some much better on much less time before.
It’s frustrating, I am in a really bad mood. With that comes sleeping late to recover from my workload, with that comes eventually less and less rested me. It’s a downhill cycle follow by not cooking at all. This leads to more evil problems. Trying to fix that right now… but it’s not the easiest thing to battle.

Thank you for those who has to deal with me on a daily bases (especially Malcolm)… I know as a matter of fact that it isn’t nice…

For now, one thing at a time, and do work whenever I can, since I never know when I get into a daze. Even like a few drop of rain, not finding a parking spot, or being a few minutes late can completely discourage me from going to class. Let’s not even talk about some other things… What are you going to do…
Now people… don’t go telling me that it’s me being lazy… it’s not… I mush rather spend 2-3 hours a day working and the rest of the time slacking… that’s lazy… or like… if the work takes 5 hours to do, do it 5 hours before the deadline at ease… that’s lazy… There’s nothing “lazy” about spending hours doing nothing in agony…Another sleepless night…

He mentioned something about digging urself a big hole… and making sure the stakes are high… that’s what I used to do… and have landed me places I cannot imagine… Sometime ago I have forgotten that was a recipe for success, partially that is what I have stopped doing out of fear… But hell, you can’t just sit there and wait for a rabbit to hop by…

Life has to be exciting and worth living for…There shouldn’t be anywhere to hide or run…

There are no lucky breaks… there is what you chose to do…

Was talking to my co-workers about random stuff. I decided it may be cool to do some statistical analysis of the merit of, current sample techniques, general “feeling” about stuff, and see how effective/ineffective, maybe that can be a WTR.

Inspired by top chef, I tried to steam some salmon today. It tasted pretty good (a little garlic, lemon, salt and chili flakes) as I somehow managed to cook it just not raw, but it looked pretty bad as salmon is really fatty, so you get these white cooked fat around the fish.

This term, has been massively busy as usual, adding to that is not having access to jobmine to look for a job, and me struggling to learn a bunch of new things – including finally learning to latex, finding better ways to take notes, moving away from windows to mac, looking at fb and paypal api, setting up a bunch of services for my company, and finally constantly battling with my sleeping schedule.

Life has been uneventful, and it has just been work, work, and more learning.

A few things that I have noted:

1) Got a job at shopify, hopefully it’ll be as fun as it seemed

2) Pull a natt, and broke the screen to my iPod

3) finally bought a microplane grater, and a silicon sheet for baking

4) It is really hard to sleep, make your own meals, and do all your homework continuously in 4 months, it just all slips away (however, being at work, working, learning, socializing, sleeping, making your own meals, gaming, all seems to function every day in and day out…)

Pretty colors  for folders when you type “ls” for mac osx terminal [as of os 10.6], you do not need to install anything…! (Damn people who tells me to install more gnu utilities… it is just different from linux in that it is LSCOLORS instead of LS_COLORS)

all you need to do is add a few lines to ur “.*rc” … first find the color you want…  here’s a good visual aid

The man page of “ls” explains this much better and in details.. but add:

export LSCOLORS=xxxxxxxx <– where xxxx is the BSD colors you just picked…

export CLICOLOR=1 <– To tell “ls” that you really really want colors…

Thank you wuhrr

I guess instead of pretending that there is a list of big goals that I am going to achieve, I realized that it is more important to do things on time and right on a daily basis. Instead of promising people, and thus sometimes failing… I will show people and myself bit by bit…
